We don’t just publish prose poetry but also look for innovative collections of flash fiction, short lyric essays, and other hybrid forms. Should you feel your manuscript is a good fit for our series (at least 50 pages in length, with at least half of your pieces in a short prose form), please send a sample of 10 pages, double-spaced, in PDF format, to our editor, Robert Alexander, at email@example.com. We ask that you name the file as follows: Lastname_Firstname_Title.pdf. Please do not send your attachment in any other format than PDF.
The body of your email should be a cover letter of no more than 500 words with complete contact information, any relevant biographical or acknowledgment information, as well as notification of any simultaneous submissions. Should your work qualify for further consideration, we will ask you to submit the full manuscript at a later date.
An award of $1,000 will accompany publication by White Pine Press. There is no entry fee.
Before submitting, it's always a good idea to become familiar with the work we've published. Please enjoy a sample of work from books we've published:
